About the Foundation
To permanently preserve our 7-generation central Pennsylvania family farm,
we established it in 2019 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) operating farm foundation in order to:
- Conserve its woodland, fields, and water resources
- Engage with universities and other organizations
in research and environmental projects - Implement sustainable food and forestry practices
- Provide volunteer opportunities for students
and community members
- Host biochar and composting workshops
- Replace/convert mowers and tractors to electric
- Incorporate renewable energy solutions and
natural building techniques
- Renovate historic mortis-and-tenon farm
buildings using sustainable materials
- Maintain and improve the farm for ongoing
environmental and educational benefit
