About the Foundation

To permanently preserve our 7-generation central Pennsylvania family farm,

we established it in 2019 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) operating farm foundation in order to:

  • Conserve its woodland, fields, and water resources
  • Engage with universities and other organizations
         in research and environmental projects
  • Implement sustainable food and forestry practices
  • Provide volunteer opportunities for students

     and community members

  • Host biochar and composting workshops
  • Replace/convert mowers and tractors to electric
  • Incorporate renewable energy solutions and

     natural building techniques

  • Renovate historic mortis-and-tenon farm

     buildings using sustainable materials

  • Maintain and improve the farm for ongoing

     environmental and educational benefit
